Reginald was tired.
When the local Woodland Creatures Association for the Institution of Standards and Governance had decided to elect him as Temporary Overseer of Forest Affairs he had assumed there would be some work but nothing like this. Suddenly every problem, no matter how mundane, was his to mediate.
They hadn't even had a government to complain to up until two months ago. He wasn't even sure how the news had spread so fast - though he had his suspicions.
Squirrels. It was always the squirrels with their chattering and scurrying and general suspect behavior.
He couldn't prove anything yet, but that was a side project...
