When my brilliant partner gifted me with some painting supplies a few years ago something just clicked. I painted my first bear and I was immediately hooked and determined to keep practicing, even if just to prove to my kids that you get better when you "put the reps in." I did not expect that the practice would become so much more. It's a journey of constantly growing and learning to embrace the chaos of the intuitive way I build my paintings. (Which for anyone who knows how much I love a plan may be a shock.)

I've been a writer at heart my whole life, so including a story along with my paintings felt like the most natural way to give context and voice to my art.
