As a very professionally focused person, I've always struggled to throw myself into an activity that was for me. But when my brilliant partner gifted me with some painting supplies a few years ago something just clicked. When I painted my first bear I was determined to keep practicing, even if just to prove to my kids that you get better when you "put the reps in." I did not expect that the practice would become so much more. It's a journey of constantly growing and learning to embrace the chaos of the intuitive way I build my paintings. (Which for anyone who knows how much I love a plan may be a shock!)
